My Tropical, Aloha-Themed Baby Shower

I can’t believe this weekend was our baby shower! We had so much fun celebrating with friends and family, who traveled from near and far to shower us with ALLLL the baby stuff for our baby girl! She will be here in a little over a month, and I can’t wait to meet her.

Our moms and one of my closest friends put together this Aloha-themed baby shower, with the help of my detailed Pinterest board, of course (because #ilovepartyplanning). The shower was at a local tea room, and it was so fun seeing all of the pink, pineapple and flamingo details everywhere.

Fun & Games

We played the traditional “don’t say baby” baby shower game where everyone gets a clothes pin and if you say the word “baby” then you have to give it up to whoever you said it to. We also played Baby Bingo, where everyone got a blank Bingo card and filled in each box with gifts they thought we’d receive, then whoever got Bingo first won a prize.

There was a calendar for everyone to place their guess on when she will actually arrive. I’m due October 27th, so I’m secretly (or not-so-secretly) hoping she comes on Halloween, because that would be so much fun for future birthday parties. They had a cute onesie for everyone to sign, and a big picture of a flamingo holding strings in it’s mouth where everyone signed a “balloon” circle and placed it on the picture. So it looks like the flamingo is holding a bunch of balloons.

No party is complete without cake

The cake and cookies are by Elise’s Pieces, who did my bridal tea party cake and our groom’s cake and sweets table at our wedding. It’s so fun to say that she’s created sweet treats for so many major events in our life, and now we can add our baby shower to that list!
