  • Hike to Coal Creek Falls

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the scenery up here in the Pacific Northwest. The evergreen trees (they’re green all year, duh) are cool, but even all the dead trees are beautiful because a lot of them are covered in bright green moss. I remember thinking how beautiful the green moss was when we visited the Hoh Rainforest in 2012, and how different is was from the Spanish Moss we have in Florida. There’s a lot of different waterfalls and hikes up here near Seattle, too. The other day, I noticed the weather forecast showed no rain for a few days, so I knew I wanted to get…

  • Visiting Snoqualmie Falls

Our first official weekend in Seattle was filled with exploring. The weather has been beautiful, which apparently isn’t the norm this time of year, but I’ll take it while I can. So we drove about 30 minutes outside the city to the tiny town of Snoqualmie, which was decorated for Christmas and looked like it was taken straight out of a Hallmark movie. It’s so cool that we are living in a big city but we’re still just a short drive away from a small town that’s Main Street is less than a mile long. First we hiked down to Snoqualmie Falls, and it was a pretty easy hike; definitely…

  • Fall in San Diego at the Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch

The SoCal summer heat is finally gone and crisp, cool fall air has moved in! I love keeping the windows open all day long, and it helps with the ridiculous San Diego electric bills too (I’m talking to you, SDG&E… who raises electric prices in the summer… when it gets up to 100 degrees some days *major eye roll*). We’ve never been to a real pumpkin patch, and of course that’s on all the fall bucket lists nowadays. So we decided to head up to Bates Nut Farm, in Valley Center. It’s about an hour north of us. After researching different San Diego pumpkin patches, it looked like the best…

  • A Sanibel Island Babymoon

When I first got pregnant and started thinking about a babymoon (because, hello, any reason to travel is a great reason) I originally thought Hawaii or Seattle. But the further along I got in the pregnancy, I realized how uncomfortable I would be, physically, flying anywhere that far away. And Hawaii is a longgg way from Florida, and super expensive, but totally worth it when you’re not growing a tiny human in your stomach. So we decided on Sanibel Island, FL! My family used to vacation there during summers and it’s probably my favorite laid back “beach town”. I prefer it over Key West to be honest! There’s no nightlife…

  • Anniversary Trip to St. Croix

This past weekend was our one year wedding anniversary and we celebrated it on the beautiful island of St. Croix! We had an amazing time celebrating our marriage, even though we had a few setbacks (like buying a GoPro specifically for this trip and having it stop working entirely before we even arrived on the island – just my luck… or when JetBlue put us on a broken plane, twice, and then had us sit at the airport for 3 hours while it got “fixed”). St. Croix is part of the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, and the island is about 22mi long by 7mi wide. We chose this island…

  • Things To Do: Top Golf in Tampa

This weekend I surprised Joe with a little Father’s Day outing to Top Golf in Tampa/Brandon. We picked up my little brother on our way and got there early Saturday morning when they opened at 8am. I wanted to get their early so we could have breakfast and beat any crowds, and that was a great idea. Within about 30-45 minutes of being there, the line to get in was out the door. If you’ve never been to a Top Golf location before, it’s basically like the golf version of bowling. The facility has 3 floors, and you have your own little area with a tee off space, a table with…

  • Things To Do in Orlando: Orlando City SC vs DC United Football Match

This weekend we were invited to join my little brother’s soccer team at the Orlando City SC vs DC United match. It is the inaugural year for the Orlando MLS team and it was a lot of fun getting to watch an MLS match in Florida! I’ve only ever been to one other MLS game and the rest have been whenever the U.S. National team comes to Florida. My husband is a big football fan (yes, we refer to it as football like the rest of the world does, except for America) and he has played his whole life and through college. It was a lot of fun seeing Americans…

  • A Walt Disney World Weekend and Disney’s Polynesian Resort

This weekend my in-laws invited us to go to Disney with them and our nieces and nephew. We had an awesome weekend and it was so nice spending time with our family that we don’t get to see often due to time or distance. We are lucky to live in Florida where it’s easy to make a last-minute weekend trips to the “Happiest Place on Earth”, which is great in some aspects, but not so great in others. Here’s a little bit about our weekend and some things to think about doing next time you’re planning a trip to Disney. • A Vegas Vacation: Things To Do In Las Vegas

For my 25th birthday my husband gave me tickets to see my all-time favorite celebrity, Britney Spears, in her Piece of Me show in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, she was taking a break the month of my birthday, so we chose to plan the trip for early May. I have been dying to see her show since she announced her Vegas residency 2 years ago, so I was incredibly excited to finally get there. Here’s a brief recap of our trip, as well as some of the places we visited, in case you’re ever in the area and looking for something to do! The week prior to our trip, Britney hurt…
