HASK Keratin Smoothing Hair Care Collection
I am always on the lookout for new hair products! My hair is a half-curly, half-wavy frizzy mess…and I live in Florida where humidity is at like, 90+ percent 360 days a year (that is not a real statistic). That really may be one of the only things I dislike about Florida, so I just deal with it. But let me tell you, when I go to California, my hair is pretty much PERFECT the entire time…I totally understand why celebrities live there…I would consider moving there just because the weather is so perfect year-round, but that weather comes with a high price! I’m also always open to trying natural hair regimens – this past summer I tried going “no poo” for a month and at first I thought it was fine, but with my type of hair I guess I NEED a real conditioner to keep it detangled…by the end of the month, I was afraid I wouldn’t ever get the knots out so I went back to regular shampoo and conditioner. No poo definitely did not work for my hair!
Anyway, enough about my disastrous hair and the weather. I recently had the opportunity to try the whole HASK Keratin Smoothing Hair Care Collection which consists of a Keratin Smoothing Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, and Shine Treatment; and I got this cute HASK canvas drawstring bag too! First off, they smell great! Kind of fruity but not overpowering like other hair care lines. Second, all of these products are free of: sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors. And third, they are full of keratin, hence the name. Keratin is what makes up our hair, skin and nails; it helps revive, restore, calm and strengthen dry, frizzy hair and helps combat the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling. I can’t speak for the over-styling since I almost always let me hair air dry, and I straighten it about once a month, if that. But, I have noticed my hair has been less frizzy and dry than usual since I started using these products. Since I only wash my hair about 2-3 times a week, I think I need to use these products for a while longer to see if there’s any long-term effects, but so far I’ve enjoyed using them! The deep conditioner is my favorite! It is super moisturizing and made my hair so so so soft, but not super oily like others I’ve tried.
