Super Delicious Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe
(a.k.a. The most heavenly tasting food you will put in your mouth… and after you see the ingredient list, you’ll know why!) I discovered this recipe about a year ago (of course) and it’s one of my husband’s favorite desserts! Which is saying a lot because he is not a sweets person like, at all! Forewarning, it takes approx. 2 hours for this to cook, I assume because it’s so thick and heavy, so only make it when you will be home for a while so it can cook. But it’s definitely worth it! I like putting it in the over before we cook dinner, so by the time we finish…

My Life Lately… Happy October!
Happy October!!! I can’t believe I just said that…this year has literally flown by! But, it has definitely been a great year, and now we are coming up on our 1st wedding anniversary. So exciting! October has always been my favorite month; the weather changes, I call it Florida fall (nothing like fall in other states, but it’s perfect for me), there’s pumpkin spice everything and Halloween decor in the stores… even though it’s been there for a month already and is now right next to the Christmas decor *eye roll* I have such a hard time walking around the stores and not buying all of the Halloween decorations I…

DIY Personalized Glitter Wine Glass
Whenever possible, I’ve always preferred to make things myself; it is funner than just buying it, and it makes the item more personal and has some of my own “blood, sweat and tears” in it. Though I rarely bleed or cry while making something. A few weeks ago I made these personalized etched glitter wine glasses for my friend’s bachelorette party. Each wine glass had the guest’s first name initial and had a gold glitter stem. These were fun to make, and were a great addition to the bachelorette gift bag. Here’s how I did made these DIY personalized glitter wine glasses: Supplies: Wine glass (I got mine at Ikea…

Derma e® the Gluten Free Skincare Routine
I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for the next best product in skincare! As I’ve gotten older, I have realized more and more how important it is to take care of my skin. I always hear people say “you only have one body, so take care of it.” Well, the same goes for your skin! You only get one epidermis, and it’s supposed to last 100 years (if we are lucky)! A few months ago I received a derma e® sample in my Birchbox and had a great experience, but I was still married to my previous face wash. Like most skincare routines, mine grew boring…

Mani Monday: Quickest Mani with imPRESS Nails
I remember many many years ago when I was too young to get acrylic nails at the salon so I would use those stick on nails that came in dress up beauty kids or that you can buy at the grocery store that last a whole 2 days before one pops off. Anyone else remember those? I usually went for a french manicure because that was pretty much the only option back then. Well, I recently had the opportunity to try an imPRESS Manicure and it took me back to those days when life was simple and my biggest decision to make was what cartoon to watch on Saturday morning…

New Snapchat Lenses: How To Use
I’m sure some of you already know that Snapchat has some awesome new features with their most recent update that came out yesterday! First, and not so exciting, they’ve added the option to purchase additional views of snaps. For just 99 cents you can replay a snap up to 3 times, so be careful next time you send a “sexy snap” to someone that only last 1-2 seconds…because they could pay to replay and screenshot that snap! The real exciting news that came with the Snapchat update is the selfie lenses (7 total)! I couldn’t stop playing with them on my drive into work today. Every single red light I…

How To Make A Lingerie Cake
This Wedding Wednesday is more of a DIY/how-to for bachelorette parties, bridal showers, or a lingerie shower. A few weeks ago I made a lingerie cake (for the first time) for my friend’s bachelorette party (you can see pics from the weekend here). It was a lot of fun to make and not as difficult as I thought it might be, but it did take a couple hours the night before the party! Here’s how I did it: This cake used a total of 5 boxes of cake and 6 tubs of icing. (Because I was making so much cake, I actually bought the bulk package of eggs at Publix…

A Bachelorette Weekend in Orlando
After months of planning and many hours spent at the dining table crafting, we finally made it to Jessica’s bachelorette weekend in Orlando, FL! If you remember her Parisian Bridal Shower a few months ago, this weekend was just as food and fun-filled! Our weekend went a little something like this: After sitting in traffic for far too long, some of us arrived at the Marriott Grande Vista hotel to start decorating before the bride and MOH got there. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at the hotel, which was perfect for the 6 of us! We rushed to decorate since we lost some time in traffic, but managed…

My Life Lately… Beach Time!
So, if you read my last post about a week ago, you probably know that we were TV and Wifi-less all week. I didn’t think it would be too difficult going 6 days without wifi until I needed to pull an image off the Internet to put into my brother-in-law’s rehearsal dinner invitations and couldn’t do it. Or when I thought “oh I don’t have TV, that’s OK I’ll just watch Netflix.” Nope, can’t do that either. With that said, here’s a little recap of my last week and some thoughts I’ve come across. Welcome to the rambling mind of a 25-year-old girl… (sorry in advance for the long post of…

A Week Without Wifi…
So, this past weekend we decided we were going to rent a tiller and tear up the side of our yard where we recently had a large tree removed so we could get the ground ready for new sod (we’ve laid sod before, but we’ve never had to tear up old sod and what not beforehand). Well, we somehow managed to slice up our Fios cable in the process… so we are currently without cable and internet for most of this week until Verizon can come out and replace the cable. I never realized how much I use the internet while at home. Thank goodness we have seasons of some of…
