Things To Do in Orlando: Orlando City SC vs DC United Football Match

This weekend we were invited to join my little brother’s soccer team at the Orlando City SC vs DC United match. It is the inaugural year for the Orlando MLS team and it was a lot of fun getting to watch an MLS match in Florida! I’ve only ever been to one other MLS game and the rest have been whenever the U.S. National team comes to Florida. My husband is a big football fan (yes, we refer to it as football like the rest of the world does, except for America) and he has played his whole life and through college. It was a lot of fun seeing Americans get excited about the most popular sport in the world. Orlando did a great job remodeling the Citrus Bowl (we went to a Bowl Game there a few years ago and had to sit on metal bleachers the whole time) and they put on a great opening presentation and winning celebration. Here are some pics from the event. I love that their color is purple, it stands out so well!

This would be a great event to attend for adults or children, especially if your kids are already into soccer. Next time you’re in Orlando, I would definitely check the schedule and see if you can catch a match!
