Wedding Wednesdays: All About That Lace
If you ask me, there’s no dress more beautiful than a wedding gown. This is the one type of dress that can make anyone feel like a princess regardless of the style. I was looking at our wedding album the other day and was reminded how much I loved my dress! I bought my dress over a year ago, so I was interested in what other dresses have come out since then. I know that I’m personally drawn to lace and tulle ballgowns, but you have to be careful with lace because sometimes it can look cheap or tacky, and no one wants that. Here are some of my overall favorite wedding dresses with lace that are currently on the market.
This one is my favorite of all of these, go figure 🙂
I’ve call this the Sofia Vergara of lace gowns
I absolutely love long sleeves on dresses. I think sleeves can add the perfect amount of modesty if you’re getting married in a church, but are still beautiful and delicate and can still be sexy.
I love these two dresses more for the back details than the front, I love the illusion back, especially with the buttons down the spine.
This is for the fashionable bride that is willing to take risks and is totally comfortable with a more revealing look. I usually don’t care for this style of gown because it is less traditional, but I love this one and would love it on the right type of bride.
Every bride knows that you don’t just need a pretty white dress for the day of the wedding. You also need a white dress for all of the celebratory parties before the wedding, such as engagement parties, showers, and the bachelorette. These short dresses would be perfect for those events, or even to change into as a party dress during the reception. My favorite is the first dress, by Vera Wang.
This is obviously not one of my favorite dresses, but I thought it was funny. This is a part of Vera Wang Spring 2016 bridal collection, maybe it could work as lingerie for the night of the wedding… if you’re interested in changing into a nighty with a train. Haha.
So what’s your favorite dress here? If you’re planning your wedding, do you already have a dress? If not, hopefully this will give you some inspiration!
xx,
Kirsten
